Benefits of COLORBOND® Roof for Buildings
COLORBOND® is our choice of material for stunning and long-lasting results. Below are five reasons why it should be yours as well.
1. Flexible design
The COLORBOND® roof provides outstanding capabilities with various colours to choose from. The colour range allows designers and owners more leeway to develop a one-of-a-kind exterior for both roofing and wall cladding.
Adapting to your aesthetic and design needs, the COLORBOND® line is available in various profiles. What’s more, the roofing requires less frequent painting compared to other roofing materials since the colour is bound to the metal.
For more than 50 years, COLORBOND® has been tried and tested in some of Australia’s most extreme locations. Additionally, it is termite-resistant, making it long-lasting and durable, aside from having a lovely appearance.
Not just that, the all-rounded COLORBOND® can also cater to urban, corrosive, seaside, and tropical environments. Highly resilient, COLORBOND® roofing is an excellent alternative for your old, rusty metal roof.
As mentioned above, the COLORBOND® roof is coated with Zincalume®, an aluminium-zinc alloy steel substrate. This allows COLORBOND® material a superior weathering performance even under extreme weather conditions.
This lightweight yet sturdy material delivers excellent barrier protection and is four times more effective against corrosion than galvanised steel.
COLORBOND® is also equipped with Clean Technology that effectively prevents dirt particles from bonding to COLORBOND®’s surface. This enables easy cleaning while sustaining the integrity of the metal structure.
Hence, the steel remains flawless without needing serious maintenance for greater longevity.
5. Thermatech® Technology
COLORBOND® delivers superior thermal performance via a combination of solar reflectance technology and COLORBOND® steel.
Enhancing thermal efficiency, the roofing material is sure to upscale your life. It efficiently minimises the heat transfer from the roof into the living space, improving comfort and lowering energy costs.
